MORE Family Collection welcomes Navarre Residence as it repositions its exclusive-use property collection in the Cape Winelands

Navarre Residence in the Cape Winelands joins MORE Family Collection Residences, a selection of exclusive-use properties in sought after locations in South Africa.

JOHANNESBURG, 19 October 2023 – MORE Family Collection welcomes Navarre Residence as it repositions its exclusive-use property collection in the Cape Winelands

The Cape Winelands in South Africa attracts visitors with picturesque vineyard landscapes, and the opportunity to savour some of the finest wines in world-class wineries.

MORE Family Collection launched our growing exclusive-use Residences product in 2022 with safari and Cape Town properties. Oldenburg Residence was the first to be added in the Cape Winelands area. However, we will no longer be marketing the Oldenburg Residence as it primarily functions as the family’s private home, and their central focus lies in producing their exceptional wines,” says CEO and custodian, Robert More.

“It gives us great pleasure to add Navarre Residence to our collection and ensure that we retain our presence in this sought after location. It’s an incredible property that is steeped in history dating back over 200 years, in fact, it is one of the best-preserved Cape Dutch manor houses in the Western Cape. Families will love this luxurious take on countryside living with nature on its doorstep – a working vineyard, a beautiful dam and river, and even a forest,” says More.

The two-level, exclusive-use property boasts four bedrooms (three en-suite), comfortably accommodating four adults and four children. It is self-contained with a fully equipped interactive kitchen, two lounges with cosy fireplaces, an expansive dining area, braai facilities, and a swimming pool. It has breathtaking views of the lush gardens, vineyards, and the majestic Helderberg Mountains.

Navarre Residence officially opens on 1 December post some refurbishments from the design team at MORE Family Collection, led by Caline Williams-Wynn of Artichoke Interior Design. The gardens have inspired the floral and tapestry decor that captures the charm, character and essence of this historically significant building. Navarre Residence proudly retains all its original features, including a thatch roof, classic stable doors, and much of its original beautiful yellowwood structure.

Its prime location, just minutes away from some of the finest wine farms, Stellenbosch town, and a short drive to Gordon’s Bay beach, is another drawcard. Guests can also expect impeccable service, warmth, and care from a dedicated hospitality team, including a personal residence butler.

For Robert More, it’s a combination of elements that makes private residences so appealing, “Families are looking for a place they can call their own and they will love the exclusivity, the location, and the attention to detail from our team. Our guests can do life here at their own pace and focus on reconnecting with each other and enjoying life enriching experiences.”
