Johannesburg, South Africa – 3 September, 2025: Following the success of its inaugural Worldwide gathering in Santiago, Chile, in May 2024, Flight Centre’s Envoyage will stage its second global conference in Africa, with Sun City, South Africa, set to host Worldwide 2025 from 12–15 September.
Envoyage, Flight Centre Travel Group’s global network for independent travel advisors, will welcome 400+ attendees from five countries – more than double the inaugural event – including over 260 advisors: 92 from Australia, 18 from Canada, 30 from New Zealand, 43 from the United States, and 80 from South Africa, alongside industry partners and suppliers.
“Hosting our second-ever Worldwide in Africa is a powerful statement about where travel is heading,” said Chantal Gouws, General Manager, Envoyage South Africa. “Bring more than 400 travel entrepreneurs and partners to Sun City during Tourism Month shines a spotlight on South Africa’s world-class experiences and MICE capability, from the Pilanesberg to our coastlines and cities. Our objective is simple: turn inspiration into itineraries, relationships into repeat business, and first-time visitors into lifelong ambassadors for destination South Africa.”
Why South Africa; why now?
With its scenic beauty, cultural appeal, and wildlife, South Africa emerged as the preferred host amongst Envoyage’s international membership. The choice underscores the country’s growing allure for both leisure and business events, and the trade’s appetite for product knowledge that converts to bookings.
“Beyond four days in Sun City, delegates will disperse on curated pre- and post-FAM trips, showcasing diverse regions and suppliers. We’re working closely with local partners to ensure the event leaves a positive legacy, including sessions that champion regenerative and accessible tourism,” said Gouws.
What’s on the agenda?
Worldwide 2025 will deliver high-impact learning combined with networking and signature celebrations. Friday sets the scene with arrivals and a Safari Celebrations welcome dinner, while Saturday and Sunday deliver mainstage content and a buzzing Partner Showcase, with curated Partner Connects that match advisors and suppliers for deep-dive product conversations and deal-making.
Sunday adds Worldwide Connect and Lions’ Lair – Envoyage’s Shark Tank-style pitch-off where advisors compete for a $5,000 AUD investment to bring a game-changing idea to life. Throughout the event, delegates earn WW Dollars for engaged participation; on Monday, those dollars become bidding power in a high-energy live auction of supplier-donated prizes, rounding out the final conference sessions and closing ceremony. The weekend also features the Africa Waves farewell on Sunday evening.
“A centrepiece of the weekend is the return of The Envys, Envoyage’s global awards recognising standout performance and impact across the network,” Gouws commented. 2025 categories include Customer Service Excellence, Leadership in Regenerative & Accessible Tourism, and Envoyage Member of the Year (one honouree per region), to name just a few.
“This moment is bigger than a conference; it’s a catalyst,” commented Gouws. “With top-producing advisors and partners from five countries on the ground, we’ll share South Africa’s extraordinary product, spark partnerships that accelerate inbound demand, and champion responsible, inclusive travel that benefits our communities. We cannot wait to welcome the world to Sun City and send them home with sales-ready itineraries and a renewed belief in Africa’s power to inspire,” she concluded.
