SOCIAL MEDIA COMPETITION TO RAISE AWARENESS OF SA AS ‘FREE TO BE’

JOHANNESBURG, 16 JANUARY 2023 – Celebrate South Africa’s beauty, assets and spirit of ‘free to be’ in a new Social Media competition being run this January by SATSA, the voice of inbound tourism.

SATSA is calling on locals and international guests visiting South Africa to share their beautiful images and videos which reflect the destination as one that is open, free, and fun in line with the #freetobeSouthAfrica campaign which was launched last year to align South Africa’s tourism industry behind one strong message.

To enter, participants need simply tag #freetobeSouthAfrica in their Instagram content, tag the SATSA Instagram account, and share your post as a story!

A range of incredible travel prizes are on offer throughout the 10-day campaign, including a one-night stay at Safari Plains; high tea for 2 guests at The Oyster Box; and a two-night stay at the Table Bay Hotel.

South Africa has one of the world’s most progressive constitutions allowing its people freedoms that aren’t enjoyed elsewhere in the world. We have a culture of openness, warmth and acceptance; our destination is a treasure trove of open-air, outdoor and adventure experiences; and we’re fun-loving and welcoming. The competition seeks to recognise those who want to share it with the world.

For more information about the competition, visit https://freetobesa.co.za/competition/.
