Africa’s Eden and SATSA Form Strategic Partnership to Boost Regional Tourism

JOHANNESBURG, 27 SEPTEMBER 2024 – Africa’s Eden and SATSA have announced a strategic partnership that will leverage the respective strengths of both associations for the benefit of their members across Southern Africa.

The partnership combines SATSA’s formidable lobbying power and industry issue management in South Africa with Africa Eden’s marketing strengths and extensive network across Southern Africa.

Members of both associations can look forward to:

  1. Amplified marketing opportunities: Leveraging Africa Eden’s extensive marketing initiatives, such as their international road shows and workshops.
  2. Powerful advocacy: Benefit from SATSA’s proven track record in government and media lobbying and resolving industry issues.
  3. Cross-regional opportunities: Market linkages between members that span borders within Southern Africa.
  4. United industry voice: A stronger, more cohesive representation on behalf of members in global tourism dialogues.

Says David Frost, CEO SATSA: “By combining SATSA’s lobbying muscle with Africa’s Eden’s marketing finesse, the members of both associations now have access to expanded benefits that will directly help their businesses grow. Our partnership makes sense because of our complementary strengths and areas of focus.”

The alliance is about maximising potential, says Jillian Blackbeard, Africa’s Eden CEO. “Members across the Southern African region now have the full force of regional marketing and advocacy best practice behind them. We’re establishing a tourism ecosystem where every member thrives and the collective regional tourism sector grows.”

Immediate collaborative opportunities for members:

  • 101 Adventures Campaign
  • Africa’s Eden North America Roadshow, 23-31 January 2025
  • Africa’s Eden Europe Roadshow, 24-28 February 2025
  • Africa’s Eden Africa Travel Show, 30 March-2 April 2025
  • WTM Africa 2025 Pavilion, 9-11 April 2025
  • Africa’s Travel Indaba 2025 Pavilion

More information about opportunities and how to take advantage of these will be shared with the members of both networks shortly.
