Exclusive-use Villa launched at Greater Mabula Private Game Reserve in Limpopo

PRESS RELEASE ON BEHALF OF EXTRAORDINARY

EXCLUSIVE-USE VILLA LAUNCHED AT GREATER MABULA PRIVATE GAME RESERVE IN LIMPOPO

Luxury property owner and management company Extraordinary to launch exclusive-use villa in the Greater Mabula Private Game Reserve

LIMPOPO, 12 JANUARY 2022 – Luxury property owner and management company Extraordinary is set to launch an exclusive-use luxury villa in Limpopo’s Greater Mabula Private Game Reserve in January 2023.

Located only two-and-a-half hours’ drive from Johannesburg in the Waterberg, Kingfisher Villa offers an exclusive and elegant bush getaway for family and friends to come together and enjoy a private safari experience. An airstrip on the reserve caters to those preferring to fly in.

Kingfisher Villa guests can expect to be treated like royalty, with the highest level of concierge-style service at every touch point. The freedom to design their own day, from breakfast through to safari activities and dinner, allows for spontaneity and a sense of contentment, while providing a relaxing experience.

A private chef will curate the perfect culinary journey, and a safari team will take care of the outdoor pursuits in the world-class game reserve.

It’s ideal for multi-generational family groups, A-listers, celebrities and groups seeking a luxurious, private and fully curated safari experience close to Johannesburg.

The demand for exclusive-use, luxury stays, while not new, has been increasing, with high-net-worth travellers particularly seeking out private safari or city accommodation. The interest in smaller, exclusive-use properties has led to a global hospitality trend towards luxury villas and private residences.

Meeting this demand, the secluded Kingfisher Villa with five luxury suites has been given a prime location overlooking the Mvubu Dam. Featuring sophisticated décor and fine furnishings, renowned, award-winning interior designer Esley Georgiou has created comfortable spaces that are distinctly African, taking inspiration from the beautiful natural surroundings and harnessing the expansive views with floor-to-ceiling windows.

Other features include a rim flow pool, a boma, a state-of-the-art entertainment centre and Wi-Fi throughout the villa, while the most unique touch is undoubtedly the swings made for two on the wooden deck, suspended from the high thatched ceiling. Exclusive, personalised service is available in the form of a private chef and butler, and meals can be served whenever guests wish, day or night.

Guests staying at Kingfisher Villa have the flexibility of a private safari vehicle and personal guide, allowing them to explore on their own schedule up to 120 square kilometres of African bush, home to rhino, lion, leopard, elephant and buffalo, as well as cheetah and wild dog, in addition to more than 300 bird species.

The Greater Mabula Private Game Reserve has been involved in numerous conservation projects, including the introduction of a pack of breeding wild dogs in the Waterberg. With this species being among the most endangered mammals in the world, the reserve allows guests the unique privilege of encountering them in their natural habitat. A variety of other activities are also available on-site from hot-air ballooning to horse riding, quad biking or taking part in some of the conservation activities on the reserve.

Says Extraordinary General Manager Operations Wouter Pienaar: “We look forward to welcoming guests to our new Kingfisher Villa, to enjoy the ultimate in exclusivity and privacy in their own hideaway on the reserve.

“Guests can custom design their entire stay, choosing to do as little or as much as they wish, at their own pace, while reconnecting with one another in a magnificent setting. This addition to our portfolio offers our discerning guests a home-away-from-home, but one where their every need is still met.”
