PROFLIGHT UNVEILS FLEXIBLE BAGGAGE POLICY FOR SA TRAVELLERS

CAPE TOWN, MAY 22, 2024 – Proflight Zambia has announced an industry-leading baggage policy update that allows for unprecedented flexibility to better accommodate modern travellers’ diverse needs. Effective immediately, the new policy provides a free 23kg checked baggage allowance on all domestic routes, regardless of fare type.

In a break from traditional piece-based approaches, Proflight has a pioneering “weight concept” model that gives passengers freedom over how to distribute their baggage allowance. Travellers can now split the 23kg weight across multiple bags without restrictions on bag counts.

Proflight’s baggage policies also enable allowance sharing across all passengers within reservations, as well as between families holding separate bookings but with matching surnames. This facilitates easier coordination for groups and families travelling together.

Proflight Zambia’s Director of Flight Operations Captain Josias Walubita emphasised the customer-centric philosophy: “We are committed to providing our passengers with the best possible travel experience. This revised baggage policy reflects our ongoing efforts to enhance customer satisfaction and streamline our services.”

The new baggage model demonstrates Proflight’s commitment to reshaping air travel practices based on modern realities and human needs, rather than industry conventions. From adventure tourists exploring Zambia’s safari destinations to business travellers on regional routes, the policy allows for a streamlined, hassle-free experience.
