No plus-one? No problem! Ponant scraps single supplement on 100+ luxury cruises

Johannesburg, 22 July 2024 – Ponant, the leader in luxury yacht and expedition cruises on all seven continents, has announced an industry-leading offer for solo travellers. The cruise line has waived the standard single supplement on more than 100 departures, opening a world of possibilities for those wishing to explore the globe unaccompanied.

This exceptional offer covers 148 cruises, allowing adventurers to book a single stateroom or private suite without incurring additional costs typically associated with single occupancy. The initiative aims to make luxury cruising more accessible and appealing to the ever-increasing market of independent travellers.

“We recognise the increasing number of travellers who prefer to journey solo,” said Stephen Winter, International Sales Director at Ponant. “By removing the single supplement on so many select cruises, we’re inviting independent travellers to enjoy our luxurious ships and extraordinary destinations, such as our polar expeditions, without compromise.”

Ponant’s fleet of ‘human-sized’ small ships offers an intimate cruising experience, with vessels accommodating between 32 to 245 guests. The cruise line is renowned for its unique itineraries, off-the-beaten-path stopovers and moorings and providing immersive cultural experiences focusing on environmentally conscious activities.

“Expect extremely high-end French luxury and hospitality, and with almost 20 years of experience in operating cruises in extreme regions, Ponant is a true Polar Specialist,” adds Winter. “Ponant Expedition Cruises not only give you the chance to travel on board a luxury ship but also to enjoy top-quality services and onshore experiences in the far-flung corners of the earth. You simply couldn’t experience this with any other cruise line.”

The no-single-supplement offer applies to a diverse range of voyages, from tropical expeditions in the Caribbean to Alaska, Antarctica, and South America, as well as cultural journeys along the coasts of Europe.

Solo travellers interested in taking advantage of this offer are encouraged to call local agent, Development Promotions or contact their travel agent for more information on eligible cruises and booking details.
