Proflight Optimises Lusaka-Johannesburg Schedule For Enhanced Efficiency

Proflight Zambia is implementing strategic schedule refinements on its Lusaka to Johannesburg route to better align flight frequencies with consumer demand and ensure long-term operational sustainability.

Effective August 24, 2024, the evening P0026/7 rotation will be suspended on Saturdays, in addition to the previously announced Thursday evening adjustment. This move allows Proflight to streamline its schedule while continuing to provide exceptional service on this vital regional route.

“These adjustments put us in an excellent position to maintain our superior travel experience and strengthen our financial footing,” said Captain Josias Walubita, Proflight Zambia’s Director of Flight Operations. “Our commitment to our customers remains unwavering.”

To complement the optimised schedule, Proflight will reintroduce convenient daily midday P0024/5 service between Lusaka and Johannesburg from July, including the return of Tuesday operations. This premium schedule offers travellers maximum flexibility and connectivity.

“The midday flight times give our passengers an optimal schedule for business or leisure travel,” Captain Walubita noted. “We’re confident this refined schedule meets the needs of our valued customers.”

The airline’s popular Cape Town and Durban routes will continue operating three times and twice weekly, respectively, with no changes. After the August adjustment, Proflight will offer a robust 15 weekly rotations between Lusaka and Johannesburg, increasing to 16 weekly flights from July.

Travel partners and passengers are invited to contact Proflight’s reservations desk to discuss revised schedule options and plan their upcoming journeys.
